HikaMarket brand filter

Can you please tell us more details about your needs ?
Is that need for your store admin or also for your vendors ? Does your vendors can set-up the brand for your products ?

We are thinking about the best way to integrate that filter in the front-end ; something that filter shouldn't be displayed and we need to understand if it will be conditional on vendor ACL or by a global setting.

The vendor only see his products in the front-end.
He can also organize his products in categories and create hidden (unpublish) ones in order to browse/organize the products as he want.

In HikaShop, the brand is a special kind of category which is stored in a dedicated field.
While HikaMarket do not authorize the vendor to create brands (because security issues), the creation of categories is possible.

But maybe there is a big problem: the brands filter cannot be the same for all vendors

It depends your organisation.
The brand filter can just list all values used for the vendor ; so the list will always "feet" the content.

The only solution is to create the brand categories in the main category of the single vendor.

By Hikashop design, that's not possible.
Vendors must use the same brand listing and they can't perform any modification (or addition) in that list.
