After editing a product with hikamarket in the front end, when I go to the backend to view the same product there are somewhat annoying spacing issues in the title and other fields in the product screen.

In fact, each time the product is edited and saved, these spaces increase to the point where I had some products where only one word was visible in the title field, the rest were so far away as to be invisible unless I used the arrows to forward the cursor.

Since this happens in the backend (or at least is only visible there) here are the screenshots of a sample product:

Title field:

Meta fields

Any idea where these may be coming from? Obviously, they are not affecting the front end, but they are annoying all the same and since I am working in already hostile work environment when it comes to these things, I'd rather it didn't do that.

Thank you

Hi,

I don't see how (and why) the spaces increased.
I am trying to reproduce your problem but without success.

Does these fields are available from the front-end interface ?
Would it be possible to have an access to your website in order to make some tests directly ?

Indeed, those fields are accessible from the front end and I have no idea why that's happening either.

Another thing I am seeing is that product edited from the front end, with an apostrophe in the name get an escape slash like this:

"Kid's" becomes "kid\'s" and that will show up in the title.

I have an exact clone of the main site on the server and I can send you access to it. First I will try to reprduce the issue there just in case and then I'll send you access. Would that be OK?

Hi,

Do you have any "security" extension for Joomla ?
It can't be the "magic quotes" problem because the problem is not in the backend ; so I think it can be related to an incompatibility with another plugin.

Hi,

Can you see to deactivate admin tools and test HikaMarket again ?
It could be possible to deactivate some admin tools securities for specific components.
If admin tools secured once again the elements in HikaMarket, it can be the source of the trouble.
