Hi
Many of vendors select main categories immediately . it is too bad for multi level categories .
How can force vendors to only select end level of categories?

Hi,

When you create a ticket in the HikaMarket forum ; please provide details about the software you're using and their version number.
If you have also provide a link to your website (you have the "private" mode if you want to keep it private) it will also help.
If your question is about a pre-sale ; please mention it in your message.

Without knowing your current website structure (categories) and your HikaMarket current settings ; it will be more than difficult to reply you.
I don't know if you have vendor categories or not, if you already changed the root for your vendors or not, etc.

this is a pre-sale question.
hikashop and hikamarket.
we want to create multi level categories in main root product category. all vendors use these main categories for adding their products . they can select any level of product categories for per product.

Hi,

In HikaMarket you can restrict the categories for your vendors. You can assign them a "root category" and you can give them "extra categories".
By doing so, you can restrict them to their special vendor category which can be outside your classical product categories.
So when they will create a product, the default category will be their vendor category and they will have to select other categories to make the product visible in the front-end store.

You can also choose the "product template" which can provide default (pre-selected) value when a product is created.
In the product template you can select categories which will be the default value during the creation. So event if the vendor does not change them, the value would be more coherent.

Another solution would be to use a custom plugin in order to exclude (refuse) some categories for your vendors.
In such plugin (which use an HikaShop trigger) you can simply refuse the saving of a product if it uses some specific categories.
