Vendor field in product variants show "none" when vendor manual upload product.

Hi Support Team,

Kindly assist for this when vendor upload product from dashboard at vendor field in variant backend show "none".

This should show the user name that upload.

May i know the reason?

We would need more details regarding the context.
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean with "when vendor manual upload" ; nor why you're talking about the user name in a vendor field.
What is an "upload" for you ? What are the different steps ?

Hi, upload here refer to when vendor create a new product with the variants at frontend

Then when go to backend the variants there is "none" vendor assigned to the variants products, by right it will automatic show the vendor name is it

Your screenshot contains the "product category", which indicates that it's not the creation/edition of a variant.
Please, provide the different steps in order to reproduce your issue.

Hi, please refer steps below for the test case:

1. vendor create new product with the variants options prnt.sc/i6j7dzozu3t2
2. when go to backend to check the variants, there is no vendor was indicate for the variant created prnt.sc/EjDUa9I-M-jV
- it shows none instead the vendor name, by right the variants also need to show the vendor created name

Yes.
If the main product is related to the vendor, the variants are automatically linked to that vendor.
The fact that you see the vendor "none" means that it will use the "default" value from the parent product.

By right the logic should be like that however our main parent product is show the vendor, but the variants is showing as "none" which is I think there is some bug there. Or any settings need be done to achieve that?

Hello,

There is no bug.
"None" means that you don't force a vendor on the product ; which also allows products to be "dynamic" like the "zone vendor" or "vendor selector".

I'm telling you that variants with vendor displayed as "none" is normal and the right way to work for HikaMarket.
A variant normal way is to inherit the vendor from the main product ; the only specific case where you want to force the vendor is by using the "vendor characteristic" and let multiple vendors sell the same product (with different prices, etc) under the same product page.

Ok understand the logic. However there is another issue we facing if the variants showing none

Case: Would like to create the coupon and restricted to specific vendor only as settings here prnt.sc/GYxTUPpqlsJp

Problem: When vendor "RESTA" choose the products with the variants the coupon is not working as showing error prnt.sc/6hcvIpr6gZB1

Root Cause: Because the products with variants and it showing 'none" that's why cannot use the coupon, when try to update the variants value "none" to vendor name then the coupon can work already

Any way to solve this? Thanks

That's a known bug of the current version ; we worked on a patch but didn't received feedback on it yet.
