Search Module not working for Categories

Hi there, they may be a very simple solution to this, but I am a relative newbie so need some help please.
When I do a search, if the search returns a category, it displays the first few lines of text, and a link, but the link doesn't work:
example - in my search I enter 'peel machine', when I click the link for the 'facial machines' category, it goes to this url ( www.testsite9.akcreation.co.uk/component...ry/12-facialmachines ), which shows a blank screen. The actual url it should go to is ( www.testsite9.akcreation.co.uk/facial-machines )

I have tried turning off SEF URL's and URL rewriting in Global Config but this still produces the same result.

Links to all products work fine, it's only categories I'm experiencing this with. FYI Search Categories / Search Content / Hikashop Category search / Hikashop Product search plugins all enabled

Any ideas please?

I've too this problem.
If I set the id of a Hikashop category listing menu it's works. But the problem that I have 3 id menu.
ie : I have a main menu :
Home - category1 - category2 - category3 - Contact

I have set the Itemid for categories with "idcat1 idcat2 idcat3"
It works for the view but the url and so the breadcrumb it's not good
If I search category2, category2 appears well but the breadcrumb display : Accueil -> category2

My explain it's not clear but you can see the problem here : disgroup.fr/sitesv2/test/
If you search "beurre"
And click on "beurres tourage"
the breadcrumb display : Accueil -> Recettes & Conseils -> Les conseils
instead of : Accueil Les produits -> Produits frais & laitiers -> Beurre & Corps Gras -> Beurres tourage
FYI I using Hikashop for "Les produits", "Recettes & conseils -> Les recettes" and "Recettes & conseils -> Les conseils"
So I set itemid for categories with each id of category menu (in display menu in hikashop)

I use Ikashop for 3 category completely different. For simplify administration by my costumer I use it for product and also to prepare recipes and tips. In my main menu I have 3 tabs, one for product, one for recipes and one for tips. Also, out Home page I have no common url. So I have no menu ItemId common. There are a solution to do a menu Item in Ikashop for all the main menu?

i have 2 categories...PCS and HARDWARE...inside PCS are 2 categories desktops and laptops and inside HARDWARE are pc cases and power supply...when i click desktop breadcrumbs shows PCS-->desktops and when i click pc cases shows HARDWARE-->pc cases...ive put Itemid for categories inside hikashop search plugin categories the number 108 which is PCS's..so when i search something e.g. desktops it gives me back a link desktops and breadcrumbs when i click it shows PCS-->desktops...but when im searching for pc cases and click on the search result pc cases breadcrumbs are PCS-->pc cases and not HARDWARE-->pc cases...
