I've checked the documentation and forums, nothing seemed to resolve this issue. This happens sporadically so not sure what the cause is.
For Example:
customer tries to check out product and get this email:
Hello,
A Paypal notification was refused because the amount received
(485.22CAD) is different from the order amount (429.4CAD)
Check the documentation concerning this issue at

This notification was for the order B2D6 on the website

below after logging in your back end:

The customer goes back and tries again. Goes through fine.
I have tested this myself by creating 1$ items and it goes through fine. We've had this occurred 3-4 times. I was able to extract some information from a previous order
Paypal Order Details:
Item: $400.00 CAD
Shipping: $30.00 CAD
Subtotal $430.00 CAD
Tax $52.00 CAD
Total $482.00 CAD
Hikashop order Details:
Sub total 452.00
Coupon 0.00
Shipping 33.90
NB 55.90
Total 485.90
I have removed the details info being sent to paypal in hope only the "total" would be sent. This still occurred (First example I have was the case).
I tried this but the code does not seem to be the same so I couldn't figure out where to change this. (
