please reencode without mootools

mootools is deprecated, developers for joomla 3.1 should be using built in core jquery for javascript. this causes complications with other tools.

Hi,

Mootools is not yet deprecated.
In Joomla 3.2, it is planned to migrate most of Joomla script into jQuery. For the moment it is not the case.
Joomla 3.1 still uses a lot of mootools scripts, like Joomla 3.0, Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 1.5

HikaShop is not only a Joomla 3.1 component, it is also a Joomla 1.5/2.5/3.0 component and all version does not includes jQuery.

But don't worry, we are helping for script migrations in Joomla 3.2 in order to set mootools really deprecated.
And we are also migrate or scripts into jQuery (or our own library). HikaShop should be the first of our component which will not use mootools at all.

thank you, it seriously causes an issue with my jquery components. i love hikashop, but i love my other components as well. and it seems the cart module does not play nice with some other jquery tools. ill be glad when everybody is on the same page completely. i have another developer who switched from jquery to mootools on his latest release and im like whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! before the switch all components played nice, now its a mess, blah.
