Product listing not linking to product page

-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.3

I attached a URL to this post. I'm having a really strange issue. On the main page of the store there are three featured items, the MakerBot Replicator Mini and MakerBot Replicator both link fine. However, the MakerBot Digitizer Scanner links to some generic page with icons like "product category, taxation category, order status, manufacturer". ??? I can't seem to find anything different about these products which would make them behave in this manner.

I've tried all three SEF URL settings under "Force canonical URLs on listings"

If I try: "No, generate the URLs" then nothing actually works... no category thumbnail of a product actually links to its product page

The other two options do not seem to fix the issue either... some product link fine, others just go to that bizarre page.

That's probably because you entered an invalid "canonical URL" in your product and have the "force canonical URLs on listings" setting activated in the HikaShop configuration.
Turn off that option and that should avoid the problem.

OK, I unpublished some menu items I had created for "product" and "product-listing" and that seemed to have fixed the issue. I'm assuming I do not need Menu Items for HikaShop other than the default page correct?

When HikaShop is installed there are a couple menus created "HikaShop hidden" and "HikaShop default". do I need these?

At first I was assuming that HikaShop would not generate the necessary SEF URLS without Joomla menu options present, but this does not seem to be the case, it seems to do fine on it's own.

HikaShop has a bunch of menu items available:
Affiliate program
Cart Display
Cart listing
Categories listing
Checkout
Comparison page
Contact page
Customer download space
Customer orders
Entry registration
Product page
Products listing
Registration form
User addresses
User control panel

When would you need to use these? Only if you wanted to provide a direct link to that particular function of HikaShop through a different menu?
