-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.4

I upgraded to HikaShop 2.6 a week ago.

Now I want to build a new menu for which I select a HikaShop Caregory list. But can't get access to any HikaShop feature to setup, I don't even find a TAB or link to go there.

I experienced other similar problems last week that were fixed by Xavier and looked like very particular to my install although I understood from his words that there was a "general bug" in code that was already fixed but not yet published.

www.hikashop.com/forum/3-bug-report/8797...-module-options.html

I just mention this in case the problem could be related.

I will send access data by contact form. Thank you.

UPDATE: i can see that the problem is similar to the one happening with the content modules last week. The Tabs are loading but not visible and the FALANG Extensions is loading an empty popup. This same symptoms were happening to the HikaShop Content Modules only until the fix made by Xavier.

Hi Peter,

Your issue is still the same than the other thread ; but for the menus that time.
Your problem is generated by your translations, which break the HikaShop configuration system/views.

I think that we can skip the global analyze of the issue and go directly to the final patch ; which is already in the latest HikaShop package. Because when Xavier made the fix for the modules, he also made the fix for the menus.
So you can directly made the patch, exactly in like in the other thread ; but for the menus view instead of the module one.
Or you can re-download HIkaShop 2.6.0 to retrieve directly these patchs.

Thank you.

I understand that there was a 2.6.0 HikaShop and currently a 2.6.0 Patched one then. I didn't understood this at that moment, I thought there was a patch pending for 2.6.1 and that you kindly put that patch in my site in advance of official release.

So by applying 2.6.0 I should get this fixed.

But maybe you could guide me in what file to replace so I don't have to track other potential issues because I have a cusotm code for a view.html.php file which is not in the overriding system.

thank you.

Hi Jerome,

thanks for your feedback. I made a local install directly from the online version and reinstalled HikaShop 2.6 downloaded today. Unlucky the problem persists exactly the same. Maybe I misunderstood you in the suggested solution.

Also by what I understand from this Xavier answer:

The problem should be solved now, some code was missing in the file "components/com_hikashop/fields/hikashopmodule.php". We already had it on our version, but it was not yet released.

I am not good enough to extrapolate the code fix to the file concerning the menus issue. Could you please provide either a fixed file or a more specific hint for non advanced coders to understand what file should I tweak and what code is conflicting?

Also, as to understand the origin and nature of the problem and further avoid unnecessary requests could you please give me a hint on what is specifically wrong in my translations that is breaking the whole think? I am actually using the newset licensed version of FALANG and I don't see what can be made through standard configuration of translations to break the whole thing.

Best regards,

UPDATE: Last, and sorry for the overloading of details. Now I check that again I can't have access to TABS nor FALANG Popup in Content Modules (take module Coming Son as example). This is strange because in my live site no other HikaShop update has been installed since your fix and no templates and no views in the admin side haven't altered

Hi,

The plugin "Hikashop - custom_plugin IMAGE SORTING" is causing the issue.
You have an error in this plugin which is cancelling the load of the options for the menus and the modules.

If you disable it, everything is working as expected.

Hi Xavier,

thanks for the check and the clarification. Too bad coincidence that such a small plugin had the same bad effect that used to happen with modules last week,. At that time the plugin was not installed so I could not make a direct connection with a before / after plugin and such a similar problem.
