I just upgraded to Hikashop business from the free version.
I was just testing the free version and upgraded yesterday and now the import isn't working.

My hikashop has no products but when I import it says "12 products found : 0 new products imported, 0 invalid product code, 12 already existing products" but the products does not exist.

What should I do? I have tried to import both through CSV and Textarea

If the import says that the products already exist, then they are already in the table hikashop_product. Even if they aren't linked to a category and thus you don't see them in the listing of products.

Could you give us your CSV so that we can check it ?

The product_type column can only be main or variant
If you set it to something else the products won't be displayed.
We're going to add a check for that in next release... :)

It depends on how you create your CSV file. For example, when you create a text file (a CSV in our case) with notepad++, you have a menu to choose the format and select UTF8. Thus, if you import that file in HikaShop, you should select UTF8.
The format which to use will depend on the format of your file.
For swedish characters, both ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8 are possible.

For others, here is a list of charset with the language for which it was made: www.terena.org/activities/multiling/ml-docs/iso-8859.html
