Hikashop & Alertpay

Hi, we have tried Hikashop on our website and the system just work perfectly and it is very easy to go through and since it offers a straight integration with Jomsocial, this just fit what we were expecting.

However, we were forced to uninstall it and not considering any upgrade (subscription package) since we cannot use Hikashop for the simple reason that we do not have any possibility to accept payment in Mauritius through Hikashop.

The only payment plugin available in Hikashop that we could get access is Moneybookers.com, however, since we are offering a travel portal including a social networking platform, Moneybookers.com has accepted our account, however, the chargeback rate or whatever name they call it is too high for our business, in fact if we move ahead with Moneybookers.com, we'll left all money that we get as commission from our client on their system and no cash at all to run our business.

Second thing, Paypal do has an option for Mauritian companies & individuals to open an account, however, we can only send money from this account and cannot receive money as Mauritius does not form part of countries that can receive money neither by bank transfer nor by credit card!

The only option that we could consider for our services is Alertpay.com, in fact Virtuemart offers an Alertpay module to add the payment option for Alertpay.com and we have started the implementation of Virtuemart on our website, however, we'll far better consider Hikashop as it contains some important features (important for us) which are not available in Virtuemart and we are quite disappointed that we cannot use Hikashop for this simple reason, anyone can help us a solution to implement Alertpay in Hikashop as this is very very very very important for us.

First of all, thank you very much for this quick reply, it is really appreciated as we are quite stressed with this issue here, it will be very nice to get the AlertPay plugin for us as it is our only way to use Hikashop.

Hence, since your team will do your best to work on this issue this week, we are going to wait for it till the end of this week, I will ask our technical team here to concentrate their efforts on the installation and setup of the Hikashop Starter Pack since we are just starting business and after a few months of operation, we shall upgrade to a higher level, just need to collect some fund first as all business.

Will wait for your feedback soon as we are submitting our website through AlertPay.com tomorrow for verification and so on.

P.S. Our website, we'll not mention the link here for some confidentiality issues till we complete it, will offer local services but we'll offer quite an innovative service as well that will interest much more business people in Mauritius and also to thank you and your team for this special efforts, we'll also try to provide you some advertising for Hikashop (including AlertPay) for businesses interested in ecommerce tools, this is not a proposal but a promise

You guys are just perfect, you just release me from a big headache, you have done a very big work in a very short time frame and I cannot tell how much me and my team thank you for this.

We have already installed the plugin and start some test directly from our website, the plugin works just perfectly, we only remain to create the return and cancel URL and everything will be in place for our first customer.

We are at the very start of our business and our financial status is quite minimal since we need to invest much in advertising issues but I promise you that within a few months from now, as soon as we start generated some good income, we'll definitely move to a higher package level than the free package.

Also, if you like to travel Nicolas, someday, I might invite you to visit Mauritius (free of charge) just to give you a special thank for your efforts as you have helped us very much.
