different prices for different sizes

I am sorry to make a post but I've been trying a couple of hours to figure it out. I am probably just not understanding or have one setting not configured properly but I've tried many different setting adjustments and read everything I could find to no avail. Its for a pro-bono project that I may get paid for later on, so I can't update to the paid versions yet (even tho its well worth it and Im using it for a major site next month). I also wanted to add that I love hikashop and in less than 2 hours I had it installed and taking orders perfectly, with 0 bugs, but now Im stumped and I can't figure out what Im doing wrong.

----Anyways here is my 'issue'. I am trying to make a product that is available in 3 sizes ...each with different prices. (print 9.95 quart 16.95 gallon 41.95) I have made the characteristic variants under Volume> Pint Quart Gallon and then added the 3 prices under the Prices slot on the product page. The prices aren't associating with the sizes and I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong so it doesn't allow for a selection of sizes that reflects the accurate prices.

Do I need to make a different product for each size? Or does that function only work in the paid versions?
