Address and payment information missing

I am testing HikaShop on Joomla 1.6. A problem arises when I cancel the order at PayPal and return to my site to start over. As shown in the attached image, when I confirm the order, the system says "Please create or select an address." But the address and payment information is no longer available to select or change.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Nicolas,

You cannot have a workflow with the address view without the login view because hikashop needs to be a able to link the addresses to the user.

OK, I understand that. Adding "login" to the workflow (cart,login,address,shipping,payment,confirm_cart_status_fields,end) creates a login/account screen.

But I don't want my customers to have to register or login. So I have "No Registration" set in the Checkout tab.

Is there a better workflow to allow for customers NOT to have to login to purchase a product?

If you set the no registration option, your customers don't have to login in order to purchase a product. They just have to enter their email and address information.

Exactly. But, when using this configuration causes my initial problem, which goes like this:

I add a product to the cart,
Enter my name and address,
Select my shipping option,
Select payment option,
Confirm,
Redirect to PayPal to pay.

The problem arises IF I cancel the order at PayPal and return to my site to start over. When I add a product to the cart and select "Next" the system tells me to select an address, but there is no way to select the address I first created and no way to create a new address.

So it seems that the only way to solve this problem is to have customers register. Is that correct?

You need to have the view login in the checkout workflow AND the registration option set to "no registration". In your screenshot, you don't have the view login.

Could you put the login view in the checkout workflow so that we can test the problem ?

I did not experience such problem on your website. When I went back to the shop after cancelling the first order on paypal, I added again the product to the cart and I was asked to enter my information again as expected and I was able to complete that second order without issue.

Once again it seems I'm missing something.

My configuration looks like this:

The result is this:

I'm not surprised that it worked. When I tested the system with the login view in place, it worked as expected.

I have removed the login view. I have removed the test orders. I have removed you as a user. Please try again.

Please follow the order process to PayPal. Cancel the order from PayPal. Return to the site. Place the order again. At this point my experience is I am unable to reenter my address and shipping information and therefore I am unable to place an order.

Normally, with that workflow and these options, when you come back from paypal, you should not be known from hikashop anymore and the login and registration page should ask you again your information.

Yes, if you remove the login view from the checkout, it's normal that it doesn't work as it hasn't been designed for that. As I said in a previous post, you NEED to have the login view in your workflow if you want the address one. You can't have the address view without the login view.

As I see it, having the "No Registration" option is a danger that may cause loss of sales. If a customer cancels an order at PayPal, then it will be impossible for that customer to place another order. You might consider placing a warning in your help file.

Exactly right. But what I've been trying to explain is that when I return from PayPal after canceling the order I am unable to enter any new address information. The only way I can create a new order is to delete myself as a user and start again. Only then can I enter my address.

Under this situation, a customer on the outside would be unable to place another order after canceling the order at PayPal. And that means a loss of a sale.

Would it be possible to have the URL of your website so that we can test this ?
