Combining Product and Category listings

Hello.
On my site I have some products that lend themselves to making variants (size, color) but others that fall under a main category, but are separate products (EBooks about separation anxiety or barking).

Here is my problem.

I want 3 images to show in the "Products for Sale" module found near the bottom of the page: watchandtrain.fatcow.com/YourShop/

The images are correct on the top portion of the module: Training Clickers, Harnesses, EBooks. -- the 3 blank images of the books will go away once I figure this out -- you can click on them if you wish to see that they are separate products.

However, when someone selects EBooks, I don't want them to go to a page with variants (as it functions now -- I made additional separate products after I thought that was a better solution) but instead go to a general Category page with a description of the EBooks and then list the 3 books below that in 3 separate paragraphs with an "Add to Cart" button for each.

So, the Clickers are a single product, the Harnesses use variants, EBooks are a category with description and 3 product listing.

I am sure you can do this, I just can't figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You can't mix categories and products in a hikashop content module as both categories and products are two seperate things The easiest would be to have two modules, one for the products and one for the categories on top of one another.

Thanks, that saves me trial and error time.
