Hello.
I was wondering how I can have my product that contains variants show the basic product description with "Choose Size" and "Choose color" in the dropdown for the product.

Currently it shows the small size and the price, but I want it to start on a screen that gives the user the chance to select their own product.

I would also like to have the title just say, "Sense-ible Harness" without the color or size description.

Thanks.

Hi,

You need to add one additional value for each of your characteristic ( "choose size" and "choose color" ), then delete the variants of your product and the characteristics and add the characteristics back so that the variants are recreated automatically. Then, select these additional values as default values on the product edition page. Then, you can edit the variants using these two values and set their quantity to 0 so that the users can't buy the product without selecting both values.

If you don't want the values appended to the name of products, you can turn off the option "Append characteristics value to product name" in the config under the tab display.

That worked great, but now there is another issue.

It says, "FREE" on the main screen. How do I take that off so there is no price, or change it to show the range of prices 17.95-21.95?

Thanks.

You can change all the texts, including the "free" text, in HikaShop by overriding the translation file in the config under the tab languages:

Thanks. That helps in this case. I made the default show the price range.

But . . . what happens when I add another product in the future with a range of prices.

For instance I could have small and large dog toys with a different price range, so my fix for this instance won't work in the next scenario.

Isn't there some logic (or another way) to tell the system "If price is 0 then show the price range of all the products, or show nothing at all"?

If you want to display price ranges, you can look at that thread: www.hikashop.com/en/support/forum/4-how-...page-if-options.html
