ok this is a whole new set of things i want to fix and can't figure it out on my own.
i open the product page and the products are there in a div layout. all good so far but then what happens next is problematic. when i open a certain product it opens bellow the list instead of loading in a new and empty screen. same for the checkout and login check. they just append below. i would like it all to appear in a new and clean screen. this might be trivial but you can tar and feather me and i still can't figure it out

That means that you displayed your products listing as a module and not as a menu. Modules are displayed on all the pages while menus are only displayed by clicking on the menu item.
If you give a link to your website we would be able to give you more precise directions as to what to do.

i am using localhost so that's not possible. and yes i assigned the module to a certain menu. i will put the website during the next days on a free host somewhere but i would really like to fix this by then.

Instead of using the module, you should unpbulish it and create a menu of the type hikashop products listing via the joomla menu manager.

Do you have the same hikashop options in your menu and your module ? Could you do a screenshot of the hikashop options of your menu ?

i see... well i just noticed that they were different. in fact i didn't notice that there were 2 seperate options. ok not it works. the only question remains. after i edited the correct login file. when i press the cart i don't only get the text message asking for a login/register, but also the payment, delivery options and the cart content

Is that a problem ? Could you do a screenshot so that we can see what you're talking about ?

I draw a square around the part that i would like visible only when logged in. this part isn't bothering me, but it would make it easier to follow by users

login_address_shipping_payment_confirm_cart_status_fields,end

i still want that section to appear after the users login, just not before
