Problem linking navigation to hikashop products

Before I got hikashop I had already set up a navigation where I was going to place all the products. I linked everything..heres my problem when i go to products/add a product/categories add/ i then navigate to where i want it to show, i upload an image and save it and close. Once i go to the navigation navigate to where i set everything up nothing shows up? Any suggestions?

Do you have the product on the back end ?
If so, could you change that your menu has an associated module to display the listing of products ?
