Related articles module when looking at a product

Hi,

Not sure if this can be done or if this is a feature request, but figured I'd start here. I'm sure someone has come across this before.

I'd like, when looking at a product, to see a module that says something like "Related Articles", and lists articles that are related to that product -similar to how the Hikashop related products works.

Most of the joomla related articles modules look at meta keywords to know how to make this association. I wondered if anyone has accomplished this for product pages in HikaShop.

What I'm trying to do is show related articles -just plain core Joomla articles. Is there a way to be viewing a product page and have a module show other articles (not Hikashop products) that are related to it? Thanks!

That's what I thought, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've tried the Joomla core 'related articles' module and a separate related articles module that I've downloaded. Can't seem to get the modules to show up on hikashop product pages even though the meta keywords are the same.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm on Joomla 1.6

Sorry for my ignorance but I am fairly new to Joomla and very new to HikaShop. Would you please be able to explain how that would work (content plugin) or point me in the right direction? Thanks for all your help.

Do you know if there's a way to make the HikaShop related products module not show if there are 0 related products to the product/category being shown?
