Variants and Characteristics - Ticket sales

Hey Nic, I have searched but not found an answer for this. We want to sell tickets for a concert. So I set it are: Adult, Child Under 16 and Child Under 7


So I set it all up to work with a Characteristic called "Ticket Type" then created 3 variants within that for the 3 ticket types.

Now, when I publish the product, users can only choose ONE of the variants to add to their cart.

How can I get them to for example choose 2 of variant 1, 2 of variant 2 and 2 of variant 3 then add to their cart?

At the moment they can just choose one of the variants, that's it. Is there another way of doing it?

I did exactly what you said and it's back where I was. See screen print. I can add EITHER one OR the other variant, but not both - in this case I want to add 1 of Adult and 2 of Child (7 to 15). I still only have the option to choose one variant.

Any suggestions?

I found out that if I press the BACK button, then I can go add the other variant and it will add it to the cart as well, but that's not good as the user has no idea that they need to do that. Perhaps if there was a "continue shopping" button it would make sense?

I found that if I change the configuration parameter "After a product is added to the cart" to "Stay and display a pop-up notice" then it achieves what I am looking for - so that works!

I guess what I was looking for was for a product order by variant grid, something like this I suppose:
