Hello, I added on custom address fields to the joomla registration process and wanted to know if there was a way to get this information into hikashop so that users won't have to enter their address twice. I also installed modal messages but it doesn't seem to work with some of Hikashop's error messages. For example, if someone tries to purchase a product with no address in the system, the message "Please create or select an address" is displayed on the page instead of in a popup window. We've had a problem with customers not noticing this message and need it to appear in a popup whether by modal messages or through hikashop. Please advise, thanks!

You can pull the joomla fields data into HikaShop unless you modify the checkout views. However, you could use the hikashop user registration screen instead of the joomla one so that the address information is directly asked during the registration to your website.

For the messages, that's the standard joomla error message system that we are using and that's your template which displays them. You could always change the CSS of your template in order to display them in a clearer way. But if you really want to make them modal javascript popup, you will have to hack everywhere in the code of HikaShop and that's not easy and you will have a hard time updating...

Thanks for responding, this may be a silly question but what is the url to hikashop's stand alone registration page, the only way I see it is once I'm in the shopping cart? And if I use hikshop's registration as the main registration for the site, is there a way I can use joomla's registration component with it? Thanks again!

You can go in your joomla manager and create a new menu of the type hikashop user registration. That way, you will be able to get the link.

The HikaShop registration view will register the user into joomla and at the same time add the address in HikaShop.
