Display products

I have been trying to find way to display list of products more than one page.
I set the following.
Type of content = Product
Type of layout = Div
Number of columns = 2
Number of items =20

In this case, I can show 40 products. However, I have more than 40. It seems that system can allow me to show only 40 products in one page. If I want to show more, I need to change to number of columns and number of items. Is there anyway I can display products more than one page? If I add so many products, the speed will be slow and it is impossible to manage if I have too many products.

Where are you setting those options ?

If you set them in a module, the pagination will only be displayed if the module is displayed as an associated module of a menu.
That is because you don't want a pagination on a normal joomla module when displayed on a template position.

I linked my Product List from main menu. I set it to Product Listing under HikaShop. In the Parameters (Basic), I clicked on HikaOption. Then, the Menu setting page show up.
In this menu, I can set all the details, name, alias, etc... The setting that I mentioned above are in this page.

So you should get the pagination automatically when clicking on this menu. Note that if you activated the "random items" option, the pagination won't be displayed because it's not logical to have a pagination when the products are randomly selected anyway. That's probably why you don't see the pagination.

I unticked the Random now. It works like a charm. Thanks a lot. :)

Hello, I've a similar problem - I'm starting a 4 column page for items - the default category currently has 76 items, but I can't get more than 20 items to display, and the display is random (I have already unticked 'random' in the Configuration/Display section, and wherever I found the option, replaced '20 items' with '100'.) What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Robin

The Configuration/Display section if for NEW modules and menus. For existing menus and modules the display options are in the menu Display->Content menus/modules. You will have to deactivate the random option there.

Thanks - I found it. In Modules: either: 'Associated products listing for category listing menu 111' or 'Associated products listing for category listing menu 113'. Not sure which one yet, but they seem to be key despite being 'unpublished'. Where can I find the explanations of what all the modules do and how they inter-relate, whether published or unpublished?
Thanks for your help.
Robin

The modules, even though unpublished in joomla are published as associated modules of your menus.
If you click on the select button of the associated modules option of your menu, you will see list of the content modules with the ones which are published for your menu.

When you create a category listing menu, hikashop automatically creates an associated module which will be unpbulished in joomla but published as an associated module. That module will display the products below the categories listing.

That enables you to have different display configurations for the category listing itself and the products listing of a category listing menu.
