If I want to use the adaptive payment for just the currency converter , How can I update it automatically into the product price?

So as long as customer select other currency from currency converter module, it would reflect exchange rate based on paypal (because I am using paypal only for payment atm).

I only know we can put the rate manually into the currency config against the base currency.

What you can do is use the currency rates auto update plugin of our commercial editions so that the rates are updated automatically based on the european central bank conversion rates. Then, in each currency, you can set a fee to account for the difference between PayPal rates and the ECB rates.

You mean, I charge or refund the differences because of the rate between ECB and paypal? This rate varies alot (not sure how often it change), its hard to keep track and might end-up under or overpayment while thinking I have setup the right fee for the differences.

Is there an option probably in the paypal plugin to use they paypalx service? In order to use their api, I have to supply api username and password which they can only give to a user with business type account. Maybe you can have this feature included?

I might be able to extract the converted currency value based on that api but I am still thinking what to do in order to reflect the new price for all product displayed.

There is no option for that in the paypal plugin. The paypal plugin is a payment plugin, no a currency rates update plugin.
We could indeed include it in the feature, but looking briefly at the documentation, it's not something we can add with few lines of code and it will require a few days of work.

Probably it would be the same as getting the rate from ECB, as for paypal, you can test it from their sandbox. Update automatically in the same way as you did if from ECB. Well this is not a mandatory for me at the moment, its only good for customer to estimate what price in their currency that they are going to pay, so customers dont have to check-out first to paypal in order to find out.

Thx for the immediate respond before.
