Layout and Formating

I have a few questions about layout and formatting.

1. I'm setup for no registration, but of course I still want to collect email address so I can send a confirmation email and other email correspondence. Currently the email field is above the address field with a label "Register". I would prefer that the email address be listed below the words "Address information". How can I move it without hacking your templates?

2. On the Address page the Input button value is "Register". Since I am not using Registration, would prefer that this say "Next". Anyway to change the value of the input button without hacking your templates?

2. Your address information displays in a European format : zip city state. The format used in the USA is "city, state zip". How can I change this without hacking your templates?

3. When a user clicks the "New" button on the Address step in order to add a new Shipping or Billing Address, they get a form in a lightbox effect. How do I control the font style. Sorry, I'm not able to find the code.

4. How do I change the copy and formatting for the emails that are sent to customers? For example, we don't use VAT in the US. And I would like to add some friendly marketing copy.

5. How do I get a menu module to appear on the pages that are part of the configuration checkout workflow? When I set the menu module to "All pages except those selected", the menu will not appear. It will only appear when "all pages" are selected, but I don't want this menu on all pages.

1. First, all the text in HikaShop can be overridden by editing the language file via the interface in the Languages tab of the configuration. So you could remove the "Address information" text and change the "register" text to that.
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

2. Same as 1

2BIS. You need to go in the menu Display->Views and edit the files address_template. When you edit a view via this interface, you don't loose your modifications when you update HikaShop.

3. The font style should be defined by your template CSS as being the same as on the main pages. If not then, it means that the problem lies in your template. The component.php file of your template must be missing the CSS files that are included in the index.php file of your template. You might want to ask your template provider about that.

4. The emails can be edited via the menu System->Emails int he Business edition.

5. You should select a menu for the option "Force a menu on the checkout" of the Display tab of the configuration. Then, you can select that menu for your module assignment.

This is fabulous. I am most grateful. Your program is fabulous. So much flexibility.

For the email message, I will check with my team to see if we are ready to upgrade from Essentials to Business. The only change we want to make in the email message is to remove the reference to "with VAT" and "without VAT" We don't use VAT in the US so this would be confusing to our customers.

Thank you again for your help.

If you just want to change VAT by "taxes" you can do so by editing the translation file as explained in my previous post.

Thank you again. We are strongly considering the upgrade so we can control the format and text of the email, including adding our logo. Is that possible? Also, do you have an option that will allow us to upgrade from Essentials to Business, so we only pay the difference? We bought essential last week and haven't gone live yet, so this is indeed an upgrade.

Thanks again for your help.

When you edit the emails, you can change the whole structure of the email. You will see the whole HTML.

If you want to upgrade from Essential, you can buy that product: www.hikashop.com/en/component/hikashop/product/show/cid-3.html
I'll pay just the difference.
