Hello everybody,

I am running the HikaShop powered website now and have noticed that PayPal payment system is quite confusing for my customers. When Hikashop redirects to the PayPal pae there is a login form on the right hand side. My customers think they have to have a PayPal account to complete the transaction, even if there is actually a link which allows to skip the PayPal login/account creation procedure. I have seen some online shops that manage to skip this stupid page and redirect you straight to the page where customer can enter thair card details and complete the transaction.

Can anyone suggest some solution for this, please?

Hi,

Here is the answer from PayPal: www.x.com/thread/49571
Basically, it's not possible with PayPal standard to do what you want and there is nothing HikaShop can do on its end to change that.
What you would have to do is to change the payment method you're using.
For example, with PayPal Pro you would be able to handle the payment by credit card directly on your website. There is a PayPal Pro plugin available for HikaShop if you update to the latest version.

Thank you Nikolas,

May I have some instructions on how to implement this without updateing the version of hikashop? I have done a lot of changes for Hikashop and it will be a real pain to go through all of that once again?

If you did your changes via the interface as advised in the documentation, you won't loose anything. You can just install the new package over your current version.
Unfortunately, you can't just install it separately. Lots of things change between the different versions and even if you were to install the paypal pro plugin independently (which is possible), it would break when using it as it would use stuff of HikaShop so you don't have in your version.
You could also use another payment gateway...
For example, if you're in the USA, you could use authorize.net and their AIM API which behavior is like paypal pro but which was in HikaShop since a few months already.
