Checkout process questions

I am having difficulties with the checkout process.

As user is shopping, they can add items to the card. When ready to checkout, click CHECKOUT and you get to registration page/login page. When you log-in, the cart is empty! How to keep the cart active so that when they register (we do NOT want them to have to go through email activation...great way to lose a sale) and/or log-in they go to checkout page.

Second problem. Going through both paypal and credit card options. choose paypal, then next...nothing happens. Shouldn't the paypal info appear or at least be redirected to paypal? choose credit card, enter cc info, then next...nothing.

No orders are showing up in the backend either.

Please help!

If the cart is lost when you login, it's because you unpublished/removed the hikashop user synchronization plugin which is used to retain the cart during the login process. You can just republish it and it should work.
If you want to deactivate the email activation, you should just turn off the user account activation option of the joomla configuration.

You're not able to finish the order process because you apparently didn't configure your shipping methods properly. Please check the FAQ on that page:
