I am setting up a shop using the Standard Hikashop with Joomla and wanted to display multiple products per page, i.e. if I was selling clothes and had a menu called mens in joomla with a sub menu of shoes and wanted to drill down and display the 20 pairs of shoes i had for sale how do i set them up in the configuration?

You need to create a menu via the menu manager, as explained on this tutorial:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/6...html#categories_menu
For the products, you need to create new categories and add the category of the product when creating the product.

I am sorry but i cant seem to get it working how i would like....if you look at my site www.simplayparties.com you can see what I am looking to achieve, I have a products page which will allow my clients to search by category, i then have the categories displayed against the menus when i click on the menu item for example "balloons & tableware" i should see two products - all my products however are listed underneath "children"

Any ideas on where I am going wrong?

Your website URL is not working.

I would need to see the page you created with HikaShop in order to understand what you did and help you.

In the HikaShop options of your menu, you need to select the category corresponding to the products you want to display. Did you do that ?

Could you do a screenshot of the hikashop options of your menu so that we can see how you set it up ?

On the screenshot "children hikashop options", the menu is displaying "categories", but in the "associated modules" option, there is no module selected. So you must be missing the products listing when you go on that menu's sub categories.
You should make sure that there is a products listing module published in the "associated modules" option of that menu.

On the contrary in the screenshot "mainly girls hikashop options", the menu is displaying "products", but in the "associated modules" option, there is a module selected. So you must see an additional listing below the listing of products on that page. You should unpublish the module you have published in the option "associated modules" option of that menu.

Normally, when you create a new menu from the menu manager, all that is handled automatically and you just have to select the correct parent category in the hikashop options and maybe other display settings. So if you have troubles with a menu, you should try to delete it and recreate it from the menu manager.
Also, we improved a bit the process in the version 1.5.3 of HikaShop so you might want to update...
