When I click on "Add to Cart" it takes me to the login or create a new account page. When I login I don't see an option to logout. Should I use the CB login instead? Would it work better?

Thank you!!

What you can do is set the CB login module accessible only for registered users. That way, it will appear only when you're logged in.

I disabled Joomla registration since I'm going to use CB instead, but now it says "Registration Not Allowed"and the module is no longer next to the registration form - it's in the right column of the site.

How did you get the module to be next to the registration form?

Thanks!!

It's not a module. The login/registration screen is a HikaShop view.
You should not disable the joomla registration. You should just unpublish the joomla login module.

Question Using the CB login /register mod

Can this be used to capture the address information instead of the Hika register for sales purposes?

thanks

No that's totally not possible. You can do it the other way around thought. There is a menu type of HikaShop that you can use to have users register via HikaShop's registration form. That will also register the user in CB.

Yeah I worked that one out with your CB Plugin, just though it might work the other way around as I like the idea of the customers having to fill in their address at the same time as registering. Any plans on implmenting this going forward? or is it a big ask? no good asking me to do it my skills are VERY limited.

I do love your cart and the work you put into it, I have also noted that Hikashop is not listed on the Paypal web site it the cart section, you ought to be as it's far better than most on there.

thanks

If you use hikashop's registration screen, users WILL be able to enter their address at the same time.

We won't implement the possibility to have CB registration in HikaShop as it's difficult, it would take a lot of time, and the gain from that would be really low as the current system is already compatible with CB.

The address IS required if you set the address custom fields to be required.

The address fields are set like that, 'but' same as your demo site if you select 'create an account' you 'do not' have to input your address until you place an order. However the cart will not display the correct shipping amount until you have logged in keyed the address details, the the cost it worked out by location & weight (even in the UK) so I would like to force the address to be completed on 'create an account'.

Hope this explains what I am trying to achieve a little clearer.
thanks

You're not looking at the good page. The user registration form of HikaShop is on that page:
www.demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=c...rm&Itemid=97&lang=en

The "create an account" link of the joomla module goes to the joomla user registration page, not the HikaShop registration page.

Yes I understand that, looking for a way to go direct to the Hika reg page, or another alternative is to display the Hika reg/logon page after putting the 1st item into the cart, is either option possible?

thanks

If you want, you can redirect to the checkout which has that reg/logon view after the customer adds something in the cart. You can do that with the option "After a product is added to the cart" of the config.
