Hey, i'm having difficulty applying a couple of modules to specific pages. I have two modules in particular a Latest Items moodule and a Related Items module i've put together.

Ideally I want the Latest Items to appear on the home page, (categories is ok but would probably make a specifically targeted module for a group) and then the Related Items module appear UNDERNEATH a product that is being viewed, but not the Latest Items. I seem to get the Latest Item module showing whatever, and in joomla 1.6, it's not like there's a section to untick it from in the module assignment/menu selection config of the actual module.

how can i specify the above scenario correctly please???

many thanks!

For the related module, you can unpbulish it in joomla and publish it in the "modules under the product page" option of the HikaShop configuration.

For the latest module, there is no option in joomla to do that. So you will have to modify your template, as explained there:

hey sorry for the slow response back. related items works a treat.

with regards to the latest items being available on some pages though, whist i haven't had a bash with the suggested link's method, i'm sure i have used a youtube type extension to embed a single video; i applied it to an article by labelling the module and placing a tag that referred back to the module in the body of an article - is something like this not perhaps possible with hikashop at all? maybe an idea for future release?

will get down and dirty and give that other suggestion a bash though at some point.

cheers!

Sure, you can include modules into articles. That's already possible with the loadposition plugin of joomla: docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F
