I am using Joomla 1.6, and Hikashop Essential. I need to add a page in between selecting the item to buy and check out.

Sample product Page: qualitycanvasprints.com/order/product/3-...gory_pathway-12.html

Here is how we would like it to work:
Step 1: Buyer comes into site and selects the canvas frame they want and click on add to cart.

Step 2: They go to the next page to upload an image, click next

Step 3: Then they check out.

Is there a way to add a page like that? Also would there be away for the site owner to have some kind of an identification on the uploaded file so they know which sale it belongs to?

Thanks,

David

Hi,

You can do what you want like that:
1. You need to change the checkout workflow option of the configuration so that the fields view is on its own first step. You can use the checkout workflow below for that:
fields,login_address_shipping_payment_confirm_coupon_cart_status,end
2. By default, the fields view is empty so you won't see anything on your first step after that modification. You will have to go in the menu Display->Custom fields and create a new custom field of the type "file" and the table "order" (these options are only available in the Business edition of Hikashop) and make it published and active on the front end. The page displayed after the add to cart will then have your upload field and a next button to go to the nest page of the checkout.
There will be a link to the file directly in the email sent to the admin and it will also be in the order details on the back end so it will be easy to relate the files to the orders.

I have the Hikashop Essential, do I have to upgrade to the Business edition to do this?

How much is the upgrade? So I can't do this with Hikashop Essential?

It's the difference between the Business and Essential edition:

You can't do it with the Essential edition.

Well, I already gave you clear instructions:

The page displayed after the add to cart will then have your upload field and a next button to go to the next page of the checkout.

I don't see how I could explain more :/

We can do it for you for a small fee. You can use our contact form to request a quote.

You need to change back your checkout workflow to :
login_address_shipping_payment_confirm_coupon_cart_status_fields,end

in the Checkout tab of the configuration.
