Keeping products and options together

Hi, I'm using the options feature with some products on www.biggerdiamonds4less.co.uk , for example someone can choose a ring and select the type of metal Yellow or white gold. If a buyer selects one ring and chooses Yellow gold, then a second ring and chooses the second White gold, at check out you can not tell which ring is white or yellow gold. How can I set it up so that the correct metal option is associated with the correct ring?
