Hi there I have a question about the order creation email. After the buyer presses the continue button they get redirected to paypal to purchase the item. At the same time they get an email to subject "Your order No. M11 is now created at www.onlineshop.wendybailye.com/ " in this email there is a link which when clicked goes to an online version of the invoice...very cool, however lets just say the customer decides not to pay for the order just yet so they close the pay pal screen. A couple of hours they come back to the site and it says that your cart is empty. Customer thinks "well that's annoying all my shopping stuff is gone, oh no wait i got an email i will go click the link it that" (is there any way of keeping the stuff in the cart until the order status is completed?). When the link is clicked as i mentioned earlier the invoice is opened in the browser however there is nothing to say, PAY NOW, or FINISH PAYMENT. And if they click on an invoice they have payed for it doesnt say PAYED.

If anyone could explain to me how i might be able to optimize this process i would appreciate it, as it seems to be causing confusion with some of my technologically challenged customers.

Thanks so much, Go the Joomla Community and HikaShop Contributions.

Hi,

In the Checkout tab of the configuration you can turn on the option "Payment of orders not paid immediately" (commercial edition only) so that on the orders listing of the user account, he can click on a "pay now" button to go again on PayPal and pay the order. Also, on the orders listing, the user can see the status of the order, created or confirmed.

OK good to know, I will look into purchasing the business edition of Hika Shop. But before I do I have one other question. Is there a way for me to setup a page on the site that says "Your Account" where my customers can log in and see there previous and current invoices?

Thanks,
Alex.

Yes. You need to create a new menu item of the type hikashop user cpanel via the menu manager of joomla and your users will be able to access their listing of orders from there as well as their user information and addresses.
