Hi

Here is a project that could be made with HikaShop: an e-commerce site where products are 3D files that users view through a java 3D applet in order to have them printed by a 3D printer and delivered via postmail.

(we already have the java 3D applet)

Each product has its options:
- thumbnails with colors
- thumbnails with materials
- thumbnails with coating
- list of sizes

There is a shopping cart, delivery options and payement choices (paypal, paybox and pay on delivery)

The user can also upload his own 3D files and store them in a private space, view them and ask for:
- having it printed in 3D
- having it added in the shop catalog

How Hikashop could allow such an e-commerce experience?

Hi,

I don't know how your applet works and what is the relation of the applet and the products, so it's hard to see if and how you could link both.

Products with options can be done with HikaShop:
www.demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=c...ow&Itemid=91&lang=en

There is no paybox payment plugin for now for HikaShop.

You can have the users upload their 3D files when adding a product to the cart by creating a custom fields of the table "item" in the Business edition.

Adding products with attached files can be done. However, you won't be able to have a multi vendor setup where they add themselves their products and you get a comission on their sales (or vice versa) as there is no multi vendor feature for now in HikaShop.
