Hi all,

Again VERY new to Hika Shop. I have the products set up and categories all woring fine. What I need to do is now set up the links to the store. I set up a main link on the top menu which then in the admin area says I have to set up a module for the categoires to show products somewhere or other, By the time I'm finished I have no idea where I am in the Admin area.

When I finally get something showing on the front end, the links dont go where they are supposed to go and I still cant navigate back and forth through the store.###SOLVED### There is an issue here with using SEF URLS on the Joomla Global Configuration.

Also, How can I get the modules to stay visible throughout the store only?? They all disappear when I click on the links toi the product, thus destroying the navigation

Is there somewhere a tutorial that can step me through how to:

Set up a list of Categories on the main page of the store that link to subcategories and product, WHILE STILL holding the main categories at the top of the page. Alternatively having a module with the main categories in the left column?

Like I said, being sent to page after page of settings is so confusing, especially when you don't know what the settings are and what they will do to your site.

This is a war stopper for me. If I can't figure this out, then I have to look elsewhere and I REALLY don't want to have to.

Any help here would be awesome

Hi,

You should create a module of the type hikashop module and then configure it to display categories in its hikashop options. Also, turn off the 'content synchronize" option on that same page so that the categories do not "disappear" when you click on one of them (otherwise, it actually tries to display the sub categories of the current category).

That's all there is to it. It should then work like you need.
That's what is explained on that tutorial:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...ml#categories_module

For the documentation of each options of any screen in HikaShop, you can click on the help icon at the top right corner to find directly the corresponding help.
