Re-direct in Explorer

hi my user with explorer are not being directed fully through the check out process it goes as far as asking them to login and after that there is just a blank page no next step

There is no blank page. There is a message saying that they should check their emails for the confirmation link.
Then, they can confirm their account.

However, I see that the cart was lost in that process. That should not happen normally. Please make sure that you didn't unpublish/remove the hikashop user synchronization plugin.

If you want, you can aslo remove the email confirmation of accounts by turning that off in the options of joomla.

Thanks the user sync was unpublished ,how exactly do i turn off the confirm account feature i can't see it and by the way you guys are AWESOME!!!

It depends. In joomla 1.5 there is an account confirmation option in the configuration page of joomla.
On joomla 1.6 and 1.7, that option has been moved in the options screen of the user manager.
