Hello,

I've added a menu item horizontal with a link to the catt overview. Next i've created a vertical menu. When clicked on the top webshop button, on the right the catt view appears. On the left a see the vertical menu also. But when klicked on the menu item on the left, we go on the right into the related catt, but my menu dissapears on the left. The Menu still exists...but it's empty..

How can I fix that the menu keeps existing on the left, even when i go into the catt?

( The module left menu is also activated on all pages, exept the home )

Hi,

From what you say, it seems that in the HikaShop options of your hikashop listing module, the option "Synchronize with currently displayed item when possible" is activated. Could you check on that.

If not, would you give a link to your website so that we can see the problem ?

The url is totaloutdoorshop.nl

The shop acts strange:

1. Klick twice on the checkout button with product in it-> you get a login screen, but its disabled in the config. Or it says that the shopcart is empty, even with products in it.
2. The redirection isn't good everytime: With or without the seo check.
Sometimes it goes ok to index.php/webshop/checkout , the other time to index.php/checkout. Randomly....I often get a 404.
3. For the initial thing: The check was set ok....but after a few times recreating the menu works now....and seems te redirect ok now. I've had here the same problems with the url....
4. The Languagefile NL doesn't get loaded good in the backend. This after a change in the Languagefile. Reloading it from server doesn't solve it.

1.
You're talking about the "Login" option in the Checkout tab of the configuration ? That should indeed remove the login part of the checkout. Could you do a screenshot of that tab of the configuration ?
The "cart is empty" problem can happen when you have the joomla cache activated. You should make sure that it's deactivated in the joomla configuration and the joomla cache plugin.

2. I didn't get any 404 error on your website.
If you want to always have the same URL on your checkout, you should set the option "force a menu on checkout" in the configuration of HikaShop.

3. if you have 404 errors when SEF is activated with links of modules, you should make sure that you configured the "menu" option (it should be a hikashop category listing menu) in the hikashop options of your module.

4. There was a typo in the language file. We've corrected it now. Please load it one more time from our server and it should work.

Well, Ive created a work-around by setting the login function to status ON in Hika. But when deactivated....and you press twice on checkout...the login screen appears. This site can work with login or without....so in this case ive activated it....

I also disabled the SEO options in the config for now, but it was working correctly, except for goiing to the checkout.
And I didn't use any caching from the start.
Ive tested with "force a menu" also.

1. I'le post this later, when duplicated the site to my test environment. I've continued working on the site..
2. Because of the different config now: Same...but I check this later.
3. Ok, check this later also.

4. Well, this didn't work. As you can see the languagefile isn't updated. I did the steps you asked....And i see the Languagefile....it's default also...
In the user options I've also forced to use the dutch language: You can see it at the site....but when goiing to the shop it goes back to US.
This point I would ask to check again; this site needs to be in NL.

I'le post the results this weekend, including a new url...so that you can see the problems with login set to no.

The NL translation is working ok on our end now. I've checked again today just to make sure and the version on our server is OK.

If it doesn't work, it's either that your front end language is not NL or that the file you have is not the new one with the fix.
Just to make sure, you can download yourself the language file from our website www.hikashop.com/en/download/languages.html and upload it to the folder languages/nl-NL over the file you have already.
If it's still doesn't work, it will mean that the problem is not in the language file/HikaShop but in the way you setup the languages in joomla.

It could not be the problem in joomla; the front end and back end were partitialy in dutch. ( joomla and other 3rd party )

This solved it:

If I updated it by hikashop, the date and timestamp of the file were changed. Sp here were no write permission errors.
Besides it I updated it 20 times in the past 24 hours trough the panel...No succes on the front.

After following youre advise to manual upload it...it solved the case directly.
