First of all, thanks for this wonderful product and for all the support you guys offers!

In my top menu I have a button that I want to link to the Hikashop cart and not directly to the checkout process flow. From the cart, I then want to have a checkout button that will bring me to the checkout process flow. In Joomla, when creating a top menu "item",there is no Hikashop cart type, but checkout type is there :(

Also, how do I put a dynamic cart icon in my joomla template top menu bar. By dynamic, I mean that if a customer add an item to his cart, the icon will change to show a filled cart icon.

Thanks Hika community!!

Hi,

You need to configure your checkout workflow differently in the Checkout tab of the configuration. You should put the cart only on the first step. That way, when you will go on the checkout, you will only see the cart and a next button to go to the checkout.

Otherwise, you could create an article with the cart module in it via the loadposition plugin of joomla and have a link to that article.

If you want to have a link that changes based on whether there is a product in the cart or not, you should use the hikashop cart module in "mini cart" mode. And then, override the translations of the cart texts in order to add your images:

Hi,

I hope you can help me on this - you always do and thank you for that, your support is great, just like your extension...

So, here is the issue: I have created a menu item of type Hikahsop Cart Display, but when the cart is empty I am getting a blank page. Can you please check and help me fix this? Here is the page: botavie.com.dedivirt73.your-server.de/index.php/ (MENU "CART"). The same is happening with the "WISHLIST" link at the top right of the page.

Thanks!
Dora

Hi,

The URL is the login page of Joomla. So I suppose that the page of the menu item requires the customer to be logged in and thus redirects there.
I don't see why the login page of Joomla would generate a blank page.
Try to turn on the debug mode and error reporting of your Joomla configuration and see if you get an error message when you reproduce the issue. Otherwise, please look into the PHP error log of your server for the error message.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply!

It was a template issue afterall. I was getting the page class suffix of the menu and this was generating the issue.

Thanks again!
