MIssing variants

I have a puzzling problem with some missing variants on the back-end product page.

In the export file, there are 6 varients with parent "PARENT-ASU-Y60632"
See the screen capture - upper image

But when I look at the variants of that parent on the backend products page there are only three variants showing.

Where are the missing 3 varients that are shown in the export file?

Thanks

Jim

Do you have the corresponding characteristic values already created ?
Otherwise, that could explain the problem.
Also, did you set properly the characteristic values of each variant in the CSV (we don't see that info on your screenshot)?

Yes, Nicolas, the variants are show correctly in the export file and are defined the characteristics table. The 60633 entries are very similar to the 60632 entries (see larger screen capture below) but all 6 60633 variants show up correctly on the backend product page (manage variants)

The thing I cannot understand is that the missing variants must be in the database because they show up in the export file.
I'm reluctant to add the missing variants manually in the backend for fear of creating duplicate entries.

If the variants do not appear in the variants listing of your product, it's because of some inconsistency in the data. It can be hard to see. For example, if you have a space in the characteristic value and not in the CSV or vice versa so hard to tell you from here, but there has to be a problem with your data.

You should try to add your variants manually. You won't be able to create duplicates. If the variant is already in the table, it will tell you there there is already an element with the same code. In that case, the easiest will be to edit the hikashop_product table via phpmyadmin, delete these variant entries from it and add them via the interface.

The really puzzling thing to me,Nicolas, is that the screen capture is of an EXPORT file, not one I created myself. The EXPORTed file shows that the variants ARE in the database!!

How can a variant be in the EXPORT file and not show on the manage variants page?

I will try to add the missing variants manually later this morning and report.

Thanks

My apologies for taking up your time, Nicolas. The problem is solved. The error was a mixup in file names, using the same name for export files taken on different dates.

Thanks
