I want to have a flat rate shipping for all of australia.

then for the rest of the world i want to use the Australia Post shipping plugin to automatically calculate the costs.

How do i set that up? I have setup the manual shipping plugin for the flat rate one and chosen the zone: Australia

But how do i do the rest of the world?

thanks again :)

Ok i have worked this out :):):)

I created a 'Shipping Zone' under Configuration > Zones that i created called 'World'. Then i added in as sub-zones all the other countries in the world apart from Australia. Then in the Australia Post shipping plugin i set the zone as this new zone i created called 'World'.

Hope that helps others :)

Hello,
I have the same problem... I have special shipping Zones for USA, Canada / Mexico. And the "Rest of World" have one zone.
I defined the shipping methods which were linked with zones (USA and Canada / Mexico). And I also defined a shipping method which is not linked to any zone (which is the most expansive method).
I thought that the system will checkout the cheapest shipping method and use this for checkout.
The system did that but it also displays the method for the "Rest of World" as an option. That is very confused for a customer. Is there a possibility to say the system that it only displays the cheapest shipping method?

How can I solve that problem with shipping methods for two zones and one for the rest of world!

woonydanny had the idea to create an own zone for rest of the world... but to create an own zone for "Rest of World" would be very complicated because I have to type in all the 2 letter codes for hundreds of countries!?

Please help,

FRank

Hi,

The solution is indeed to create a "rest of the world" shipping zone with all the other countries as sub zones and then link that zone in your shipping method.

Creating a "rest of the world" zone should only take a minute:
You go in System>Zones
Click on "new"
Enter a name for your zone, select the type "shipping zone" and save once.
Click on the "add" button of the "sub zones" area of the zone which opens a popup to select the zones to add.
Change the "All zones" dropdown to "countries"
Change the "Display" dropdown of the pagination at the bottom of the popup to "all"
Then, click on the first checkbox of the listing and click on the "OK" button and that will add all the countries to your zone.
Then, you can simply remove the countries you don't want from the sub zones listing and save your new zone.
