assign buyer to user after purchase:bug - mistake?

Hi I bought the enterprise and am building a webservice on a development site. I have enabled to assign buyers to specific user group after purchase. However after succesful purchase the buyer is listed in the registered and not in the specific user group that is a subset of the user group.
Also, the address/name etc. details that buyer has entered are only visible in Hikashop user info and not in Joomla user profile.
I double checked if I tested the right product and done two purchases, both with the same result: not the user group I customized in the product, no info in joomla user management.
Am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Hi,

Please make sure that the order is confirmed and not just created. As long as the order is not confirmed, the user group won't be added to the user.
Also, this won't remove the user from the registered user group. It will just add a second user group to the user.

Hi,

I am having several issues with hikashop plugins I need to use. One of them is that the User Points Plugin doesn't work. After a lot of search, I found out that when a user is being assigned to another group after purchase (in general), the values of the user custom fields are totally removed! So, I believe as soon as this is fixed, the User Points plugin, could actually work.

Please advice.

Hi,

The user points plugin work properly with the latest version of HikaShop and we are not able to reproduce such problem.
Also, the user group after purchase plugin only touch the user group of the user which are in a different table than the custom user fields data. So I don't see how that would be possible.

Please try again after checking your settings.
If you still have the problem, make sure that you have the latest version of HikaShop.
If you still have the problem, please provide screenshots of the user group plugin options, the product options screen and of the user points plugin settings, and also a link to the product page, and finally a test user account so that we can reproduce the issue on your website.

Hi Nicolas,

I just updated the HikaShop extension to the latest one and the issue with the users custom fields is still there (user points plugin work now, Mohamet guide me for an alternative customization).

Please, find attached the screenshots that describe the issue in detail.
You can use the following credentials to login as a user:
Username: Test6
Password: usertest
Url: epicsoftwaredev.com/fitfuel

Please, as soon as you login, visit the profile page, just to be sure that the values of the custom fields can be read and edited.
As soon as you purchase a Flex Plan (url: epicsoftwaredev.com/fitfuel/index.php/meal-plans ) and you've been added to the Flex User Group, the values of the custom fields are being deleted and you are not able to edit your profile.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.
The problem has been fixed. It was a bug coming from the fact that you had custom order fields on the last step of the checkout and that the user synchronization plugin was triggered by the user group plugin new group addition to the joomla user. The synch plugin mistakenly saved the user custom fields thinking that the custom order fields data was custom user field data and thus was updating the data from the custom user fields of the user with their default value.
The fix will be added in next version of HikaShop.
