Hi,

Thanks for everything so far.

I would like to know if it is possible to remove the "Proceed to checkout" button from the bottom of the actual checkout page? The visitor to my site will have pressed on the button to get to the checkout page so having it at the button of the checkout page is confusing. If the visitor presses it, they go in a loop.

I hope I make sense and look forward to your reply.

Regards,
Paul.

Hi,

The "Proceed to checkout" button is only displayed in the cart module and not on the checkout. Thus, I'm not sure of what you're talking about ?

If I click on "Add to cart" it takes me to the page pictured below (which I am happy with), it's the button right at the bottom that I would like to remove from this particular page.

I am happy for it to be on all my other pages but feel it is redundant in this instance.

Thanks again for your prompt help.

Regards,
Paul.

That's because you are displaying the cart module on the checkout.
You should set a menu in the option "force a menu on checkout" under the tab display in the config of HikaShop and then edit you cart module's options and restrict its display so that it's not displayed on the menu you specified in that option.
That way, the cart module won't be displayed on the checkout.

I followed your instructions Nicolas and no luck. I have HS v 2.3.0 & Joomla 2.5.19

I attached my checkout page screenshot. You can also see my shipping options do not show up. I posted that problem under that topic. Really frustrating I have to say. I would like to just pay you for an hour of support so you can configure my cart for me. And also why do I get a double listing of products when you click the following link?

Hi,

Your checkout is properly displaying the USPS shipping methods on my end:

Of course, USPS is only able to calculate the shipping fees once the user enters his address since the shipping fees depend on the destination address. And I can see on your screenshot that you didn't enter any address.
Normally, HikaShop should display an error message if you try to finalize the checkout without an address. But it seems that your joomla template is not displaying the error messages so you don't see it and that's why you thought that the problem was with the shipping methods where in fact the issue is with the template.
We have some documentation about templates not displaying error messages:
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...tibility-issues.html

So there is nothing to configure properly in your cart as it's already configured properly and working.

Hi Nicolas. Please see attached images. As you can see I have an adress in the shipping field. I turned off the free pickup and now I get "No Shipping Method Found." At one point both the UPS and USPS plugins were working. I have no idea how I screwed up the checkout process. I was trying to get rid of the "next" button that was appearing underneath the address.

I think it would be INCREDIBLY better if all you could see on that first checkout page was the billing and shipping addresses and a next button. Then on the next screen you get the coupon field and the shipping options. Then on the last screen you get the payment options. And the cart should be displayed on the bottom of every page with a continue shopping button in case they remember that they wanted to purchase something else. Right now the process is just extremely confusing.

Hi,

No, on your screenshot you don't have validated yet the address. You need to click on the tick icon of the address in order to validate it. Only then will the system know about it and compute the shipping fees.

Having the process in several steps in indeed better in your case since you want to display the shipping methods selection only after the user has entered his address. That's easy to do actually. Simply go in the configuration of HikaShop, and under the Checkout tab, drag'n'drop the different views of the checkout into several steps like you want and then save the configuration.

HI Nicolas. Really, really appreciate the quick responses. I did figure out how to create the multiple screen checkout process.

For some reason after hours of trying everything I can think of and taking a break suddenly the checkout flow started working. At least the shipping options showed up. However...once I selected the USPS shipping option and clicked next...my bloody first data credit card payment option is now gone...see attachment...I fix one thing somehow only to screw up something else...

and I want you to know that after reading your email response this morning about template compatibility I purchased the Creatrix template as it is optimized for Hikashop. I am going to spend the whole weekend converting my current site to that template and them come Monday we will see how everything functions.

If you don't see a payment method after you select a shipping method, it means that you restricted your payment method to only display for some shipping methods.
Remove the shipping methods restriction of your payment method and it should be better.
