Quantity Pricing Discount

I have a category that has videos. They are all the same price at $15. If they buy one video it costs $15. Any additional videos purchased in their shopping cart will be discounted to a cost of $10. So if they purchased 3 different videos instead of costing $15+$15+$15=$45 it would be with this discount $15+$10+$10= $35

I don't mind adding a coupon code in the discount/coupons section. if I need to make this work. Just can't figure it out.

Is this possible with Hikashop?

The only way I can see would be to create one auto loaded coupon per number of products.

For minimum 2 items in the cart -> 16.66%
For minimum 3 items in the cart -> 22.22%
...etc...

The system would then load the appropriate coupon in the cart during the checkout.

Hi, I manage that using the price options, you need to add a new price and set the minimun quantity.

Example:

15 usd buying at least 1
12,5 usd buying at least 2 (15+10)/2
11,33 usd buying at least 3

It works for me.

Daniel.

Hi Nicolas,
Just to be clear, I understand that discounts for volume (quantity) orders can only be applied by using a coupon rather than a simple Discount?

We are just loading products into our store which offer a 10% discount when 5 or more units of that product are ordered. In other words the unit price reduces by 10% once the order quantity gets to 5.

Is the use of a coupon the only way to apply such a discount? I would use the auto-load function for this but would prefer to show a simple quantity Discount on the product page itself rather than use a coupon if possible.

Appreciate if you can confirm.
Thanks

In the first message of that thread, the question was about having a discount across all the products of a category so that it would apply to the price of the total of the products of that category based on the number of products bought in the category.

What you're talking about is volume pricing. That doesn't require any discount or any coupon setup. Just set several prices with a minimum quantity in your products, like damendieta explains.

Is there a way of applying this to all products easily. Im selling lots of different digital prints. Each print is £15. I want to apply a volume discount to all the products but as I have over 200 different prints this is going to take a long time unless there is some way of applying the discount using a bulk action.

Hi,

If think you can use a discount on a category and use a mass action in order to add the specific categories to selected products.
