Is it possible to remove product number from url

url to my product shows as

/store/online/product/1-dirtblaster

is it possible to remove the product id from the urls?

so it reads:

store/online/product/dirtblaster

I noticed in the yootheme forum you can add something like

unset($query);

in the router.php to remove similar thing in the zoo product catalog is it possible to add something similar to the hikashop router.php file? or is there another solution?

i really don't want to add a acesef or sh404sef product to accomplish shuch a small thing

a great future feature would be a an alias box on the product setup page as I really would like to shorten most of my product names for url purposes...

I think that there is no option for that .

Can you please advise whether this is possible now with version 2.2.2 for Joomla 3.1.5?
I find the category ID and Product ID in the links ugly and am very keen to avoid them.
If not possible via the GUI is there a hack?

You can't remove it with the SEF routing in HikaShop.

I think that if you use AceSef, you can have such SEF URLs though:
www.joomace.net/downloads/acesef/extensions/hikashop-acesef
