I would like for administrators to have the ability to edit the products in the front end so that they don't have to have any knowledge or access to the joomla back end.

Is there a way to add the components/hikashop/products list to the front end?

I was able to accomplish this, and bring all the hikashop components front end, such as adding and editing products, coupons, etc.

I think this is in an upcoming update and testing is going on right now, so my solution may be redundant, but if anyone would like me to post what I did then I can.

I wanted my client to be able to add and edit products, badges, etc, but the goal was to keep them away from the joomla back-end as it is not novice friendly and I wanted my client to feel that their website was very intuitive and user friendly.

Even though it took me a long time to figure out a solution, the actual solution is quite simple and easy to replicate.

Our solution will be a complete rewrite of the views so that it will way more easy to configure products for users.
In the future, we'll probably move back the interface we'll do for the front end edition to the back end too.

Just porting the interfaces on the front end like you did is already great but don't answer lots of cases and especially multi vendor features where each function should be activable/deactivable. Also we felt that the interfaces on the back end was getting old and that a new easy to use interface was needed. And we have to handle all the multi vendor stuff, like orders/sub orders, vendor profile, etc. That's why it's taking us so much time :)

That link in the first reply doesn't work. I have the same request. I would like to be able to make changes to existing products from the frontend. This is particularly important for product descriptions and prices.

Hi,

Note that this thread is 8 years old.
Since then we've released HikaMarket front edition which was made especially to answer this kind of needs:
