Is there a way to package the hikashop files, so I can save my time making webshops?

It is pretty boring to configurate every installment.

We are going to run a offer with Joomla + Hikashop and add more users and licenses your way.

Is it possible to unpack the package and take the files from the ftp and zip it.

Will it be possible to install it with the configurations after that?

HikaShop has several parts:
-The hikashop tables in the database where the configuration is stored as well as the menus and modules options. If you want to install the menus/modules you will also need the menus and modules table of joomla
-The hikashop core files. You have the files in amdinistrator/components/com_hikashop, in components/com_hikashop, the modules in the folder modules and the several plugins in the plugins folder of joomla. You also have the default files in media/com_hikashop.
-When you customize the HikaShop views, they are saved in your template html folder so you might need that one as well. The translation override files are stored in the folder languages/overrides. The rest of the customization files are stored in the media/com_hikashop files. The images and files you upload in HikaShop are also stored there.
-If you use a commercial edition, the license data is also stored in the config table so if you move hikashop to another domain that license data won't be valid anymore and the system will ask for a new license.

You can't just unzip the install package and put the files at the good place because all the data needs to be initialized in the database. If you use a base website install, you could just copy the files and import the SQL from it and then optionally retrieve a new license if it's a commercial version.

I was going to use the free edition and then the customer could upgrade the licens, if needed.

Then, you don't need to mess around with the license.

You can forget about the last point of my previous post. Other points stand for the free version as well as commercial versions.

Something like Akeeba backup might work if you are packaging an entire website. I've used it to make working copies of websites in a new folder or server. I have a base Joomla installation (no site content) with components, modules, plugins and templates that I use on most sites that is archived using Akeeba, including all database tables, and by restoring that to a new folder or server, I can have a basic site up and running fairly quickly. Just add customer content and tweak to taste!

Might not server your purposes, but something to consider.
