Limit Quantity to 1 Per Account

Hey there. I was wondering how, if possible, I could limit the purchase of an item to 1 per account. Only option I can see is to limit per order, but then the user could just go and make a new order to buy a new one. I want to limit purchased registrations to an event to 1 per user, as certain user access levels will be given discounts on their registration. And as some point the following year, they would need to be able to purchase it again for next years event, so if its possible, can the limit be reset after the event happens? Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

yes, i see the button, and i set it to only 1 product, but the limit is valid only for one sales. If the same customer, after the bought put the same product in a new cart the software let do it, and this situation is not good for us.
We have some products that are sample and one costumer can buy only one sample of the same type at all. After he "boughts" that sample he cannot buy it again, never

This is pretty old, but this is exactly what I am looking for. The interface has changed significantly and in the limits section the only option is limit quantity per order. Is this still possible on the current version of Hikashop Business?
