Redirect after clicking on 'Put in Cart'

Hi there,

I have a problem in that I can no longer get past the 'put in cart' tab. If I select a product and click on 'put in cart', the system redirects to my home page. Therefore, I cannot continue through the checkout process. I used to be able to, so I'm sure it's due to some change that I have made, but cannot figure out which one.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

My site is www.silkroadvoyages.com

It is in Japanese, so to find the store part, go through the ショッピング tab, select a category and try カートに入れる

I'm sure Nicolas will check in and give you the difinative answer, but in the mean time you can take a look at Configuration/Display and check the "After a product is added to the cart" option. If set to "Always stay on the same page", it should not redirect to someplace else I would think.

There may be other factors involved, but that will give you a place to start.

Ed

Thanks Ed for the quick message. I have got the display set as you mentioned. However, it still redirects.

Unfortunately, that's about the extent of my knowledge on this as I've just started using it myself. There is a redirect to a menu item on the product module settings, but that is supposed to be when the cart is empty. If it was working before, it must be a setting that was changed, but I can't think of any others at the moment that might cause the behavior.

Have you tried selecting different products? Maybe the problem has to do with stock qty, but don't know if that would cause it or not.

Regards,
Ed

Hi,

I see that you're using the version 1.2.1 on your website. Please update to the latest version and try again. That version is really old and we fixed quite a lot of stuff since then.

Nicolas,

Thank you so much for your reply on this post. I have now updated to the latest version and that change has allowed me to get through to the log-in page and presumably to the checkout to complete the process. However, it has altered all the field titles on the Log-in page to things like HIKA/USER NAME / HIKA_NAME etc.. They used to all be in Japanese, so should I retranslate them in Joomfish or directly in the hikashop code page?

First, you should update your translation files via the hikashop config under the tab languages. When you update, your translation files are not updated automatically, so you have to do it manually with the "load latest version from the server". Also, please note that there now is a new override zone where you can put your translation customizations so that they won't be overwritten when you get the new language files when you update HikaShop.

Wonderful. It seems that I am (nearly) back to full functionality. Thank you so much for your fantastic help! I like the changes that you have made to the functionality and will spend some time exploring and hopefully customizing to my needs.

One thing that appears to be happening now though, is that I have to click twice on each progression tab during the checkout process. It could be my browser (Chrome) playing up temporarily. Have you heard of this kind of problem before?
