Hi,
I was wondering if there's a way to do this. i.e. Instead of creating 3 shirts - small, medium, large - I can create one shirt and have the customer choose a size. And each size has a different price.
Thank you.

Hi,

Yes. You can use characteristics and variants for that:

Hello

I'm just a couple of days in to using HikaShop and find it extremely powerful and intuitive. I'm evaluating it before upgrading to a paid version. I need to see whether it is suitable for my products which are photographic prints.

I have the same question as panosa73, which has not been answered with this solution.

I have photographic prints for sale, each image has 5 sizes, and each one of these has its own price. Therefore on each product I would like the user to be able to select the size which then displays the new price. The order quantity with the price is not of interest to me at this point

At the moment I have a page which shows a list of prices and a drop down of sizes. See attachment.
Thanks

Hi,

You entered all your prices for your main product, so they all display for all the variants of your product.

What you should do instead is click on the "manage variants" button of the characteristics zone of your product and, for each variant, set the corresponding price.

Found it!
By editing the variants, adding the prices there. Now the prices change for the product when choosing the price form the drop down menu.

Hi Nicolas,

Yes that did it and it now works, thanks.

However this means that I have to enter the price for each of the five variants for each print. As all of my prints are the same sizes and prices, is there a way I can speed up my work flow by using a 'global' way to use characteristics to add the same values to each product?

Many thanks

That's not possible. However, in the Business version of HikaShop you have a copy button on the products listing enabling you to copy your products in one click so that you just have to change the relevant information of the main product.
( there is a bug on the copy of products with variants on the current version of HikaShop but it will be fixed for next version and can already be fixed by yourself easily by following the instructions on that post: www.hikashop.com/en/support/forum/4-how-...e-products.html#6416 )
