Hello,

I need to create a report 2 column report that shows each product and the quantity sold like this:

Product Name Qty Sold
Widget 1 20
Widget 2 24

I have been looking at the new reporting feature and while it is really nice the closest I can get to this is the product in the first column and the total dollar amount sold for that product but I need the quantity (and because of discounts/coupons it is not possible to to calculate this).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Neil

Hi Nagate,

The best solution to do this is to use the table display. Here is the way to display what you want:
- Create a New report, select the "table" option is the "Display" field.
- In the popup, Type the name of your product in the "Name" field
- Select the period on which you want to see the sales
- Select the type "Order"
- In the filter section, click on the add button of the product field, look for you product and select it
- Click on the OK button to save this row

You should see the name of your product and the quantity sold in the selected period. To add another product, just click the 'add' button and proceed like I said with another product.
The order type in this view display the number of sold product. If you add a filter on one product, you get the quantity sold of this product ;).

Is that the Quantity of the products or the orders.
If somebody orders 3 books in one order.
Is that one or 3?

Hi,

It should be 1.
Now, that thread is a bit old.
I would rather recommend to configure something like that:
monosnap.com/file/zQUDVz66oOOSRCSJdIhwJ797ydwXsj
That will take into account the quantity of the product in each order
And you can still restrict this to a category of products, or one product if you don't want all the products to be taken into account in the report.
