Menu Type - Contact page

Hi,

I have a page that is created with Menu Type set to Hikashop's "Contact page" that is not sending out email ( www.flydma.com/index.php/en-US/email-us ). I've tried changing the superuser (admin)'s email, thinking that perhaps it's linked to the form. I've also tried changing the emails in Hikashop's config page and Global Config page. Could you advice what I may be doing wrong?

Hi,

Is your website able to send other emails ?
Do you receive order notification emails from HikaShop ?
Why use the contact form of HikaShop and not joomla's ?

Yes,

The Joomla contact form works. We haven't gotten to set up the shipping method to connect to the cart, so couldn't see if we can receive notification from Hikashop. I just wanted to make sure all components of Hikashop work so if client wants to use it later it'll be available. But for now, I have changed it over to Joomla's contact form. I have read a little on the forum about Hikashop's contact form and am wondering is it working on certain sites but not on others?

It could be a bug that we were not able to locate/reproduce yet. But anyway, there is no point in using the contact form of HikaShop as the joomla one does exactly the same.
The HikaShop contact form is useful when you have contact buttons on your product pages.

good afternoon,
i have also a problem with contact form that is displayed to the product page. It was working normally and i was receiving emails from customers but it doesnt work anymore.I havent change any settings.What is wrong?

Hi,

We'll need more information to be able to help you:
- a link to a product page with the issue
- is the problem that the emails are not arriving or that the contact form cannot be submitted ?
- Do you get any error message ?
- Do you get the contact emails in the Users->Emails history menu of the backend of HikaShop ?
- which version of HikaShop are you using ?

the contact form can normally submitted, there is no error message, in the email history i can find the emails.
the problem is that i dont receive it to my yahoo mail anymore. which is the email that i setted to receive emails.
my version is 2.6.0. and also at mail history i noticed that the time is not correct.i submitted a contact form, and at history emails was writing that i submitted it almost 3 hours ago.

Hi,

If you have the email in the email history, then HikaShop did send the email.
Several things possible here:
- You have Joomla 3.5.1 or newer and there were some changes regarding the sending of emails with that version. So you might want to try updating HikaShop. That might help as only the 2.6.3 is fully compatible with the 3.5.1.
- The fact that the hour is wrong in the backend email history is nothing to worry about. It just means that there is a small issue with taking inot account the timezone settings of your website for the display of the emails in the history.
- Maybe the email goes in your spam folder so check that in yuor email client.
- The email could actually be flagged as spam before even reaching your inbox. In that case, there should be some information about the problem in the log of the email server of your hosting. You might have to contact your hosting company to request that they check the email server log for one of the contact email that you can see in the email history and not in your inbox.

i update to the latest version of hikashop and it created many problems.magic zoom is not working at all, even though its activated.urls of products have been change in big urls containing the title of the products. the problem with email have been solved but created other serious issues.how can i solve them?

Hi,

1. Magic zoom is a third party solution. You need to contact the developer of that extension if you have a problem with it.

2. For the URLs changing, we sure can help but again, we'll need more information to be able to help you.
What is an example of an old URL ?
What is the same URL now ?
How did you configure the settings under the SEF section of the HikaShop configuration ? Could you do a screenshot ?
