Unregistered - skipping payment page

Love Hikashop - thanks for all the hard work!

I'm experiencing a problem with my checkout. I'm smart enough to realize it's probably something I've tinkered with, and now doesn't work, but I can't find the answer.
Upon checkout, guests are asked to login or register. If they register, then hit NEXT, the site skips the "taking you to PayPal" screen, and goes immediately to "Thank you for your purchase." However, if they login first, then check out, the process is correct.
Any advice?

To clarify: new users will add an item to the cart, go to checkout, begin registration, click Register, then Next, then they get the thank you screen - no payment is being requested. My stuff is cheap, but it's not free! ;)
If customers log in first, before checking out, the process takes them to PayPal for payment.
Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
TIA!

Partially Solved!
I never figured out how to fix the problem, but I did learn how to skip registration, and go directly to PayPal by removing the login and shipping bits from the workflow. This works great for me.

I have the same problem after upgrading to the latest version. Registered users are directed to 2CO fine, but non-registered users and not directed to 2CO and get this message: "Thank you for your purchase." I added the payment option to the workflow as a solution

Without the "payment" view in the checkout workflow, it's normal that your users are not directed to the payment platform.

I am having the same issue as the OP.

When I have the checkout workflow set up the way I would like it:

Step 1: Cart + Login
Step 2: Cart + Payment

Then if a user logs in they access the payment page fine - but if it's a new user registration then it skips the payment page and goes straight to the Thank you for your order page as mentioned above.

But If I alter the checkout workflow and (for example) spread it out across 3 steps instead of 2. Then the final page includes every possible selection even though it is not enabled PLUS it changes the currency to Euro even though that currency is disabled.

So for example Step 3 has just Cart and Payment in the workflow - but it displays the following:

  • Checkout Progress bar (even though it is disabled)
  • Billing Address (even though it is not in the workflow)
  • Payment
  • Coupon Code Input (even though it is not in the workflow)
  • Cart
  • And the currency is in Euro (even though AUD is default and Euro is Un-published)
